Ilene is a community leader and a tireless advocate for the underdog. As a TechStars Global Facilitator, she travels all over the country motivating entrepreneurs, and the communities that support them.
Equal parts, social worker and policymaker Ilene earned both her Master of Social Work (MSW) and Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Columbia University blending her ability to intuitively understand systems and culture and aligning it with human purpose, satisfaction, and productivity.
Ilene now writes short stories that shine a light on the choices we live with and mentors founders and new managers. A native New Yorker, she has perfected her pastrami recipe and lives in Western MA with her 78 Chevy Cheyenne and “huge” Golden Doodle. She never tires of seeing the cows in the road.
