Mary Jane Bertram
Mary Jane Bertram is the Regional Director for the Hudson Valley. She believes that this region of the state has limitless opportunities for developing initiatives that strengthen and expand opportunities for employees, employers, and the diverse communities of the Hudson Valley.
Prior to joining WDI in 2008, Mary Jane was working with Service Employees International Union (SEIU). She began her career with SEIU in the southern states and transferred to New York in 2002. During her time with SEIU, Mary Jane wore a variety of different hats and had the opportunity to develop strategies in forming unions, negotiate contracts, and to participate in a variety of labor management activities and community engagements.
Mary Jane currently serves on the Dutchess County WIB Executive Board, the CTE Perkins Local Advisory Council, Selikoff Centers Advisory Board, Orange County Partnership Task Force, and the Dutchess ReEntry Task Force. She volunteers her time as the New York State patient representative for the National Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Society. She attended Valencia Community College, Brigham Young University, and received a teaching certificate from the Sogetsu School of Ikebana in Misawa, Japan.
