The Hackathon revealed how the youth are driven to solve Hudson Valley employability & professional sustainability challenges. We were excited to see that we are all aligned in our dream of making the Hudson Valley a better place to live and work, and leveraging technology as a practical tool for this rising tide!
Social Impact award went to Marist Cyber Group Connecting Students and Educators During a Pandemic Through Modern Technology. The award was given to three students from Marist College: Patrick McNamara (Team Lead), DeAnna Singer, and Cole Nielson. These students are senior cybersecurity majors who are currently enrolled in a capstone project which aims to evaluate the impact of the global pandemic on internet privacy. They hope to be able to incorporate the project that they created for the hackathon into their final capstone delivery. See their pitch deck here
All volunteers and staff members got these t-shirts to be recognizable
Isn't it cool?
Welcome to the Hudson Valley!
